The Birthing Instincts classes were a wealth of knowledge and it was great having midwives with experience in both home and hospital settings. We loved the different range of resources they used to teach the classes and how we can actually incorporate this during our birth.

My partner and I are first time parents and we cannot recommend Birthing Instincts enough. As an experienced midwife and lactation consultant, Row is a wealth of knowledge and an amazing lady! We felt very prepared for the birth having completing the hypnobirthing course. It covers a wide range of information and skills to help you from breathing exercises, pain relief methods, what to expect during early labour, when to go to hospital, birthing preferences and much more. The course helped me to have a positive perception of birth, and eliminated the fear that I had previously associated with giving birth. This was the best thing I did in preparation for the birth of my son. I would absolutely recommend! :)

My husband and I recently completed our hypnobirthing course with Erin at Birthing Instincts Beaumaris and it was fabulous!

Erin was so kind and full of useful information (we had heaps of questions!) and really motivated me to take control of my pregnancy and decide what I wanted from my birth (rather than just leaving it in the hands of the doctors/midwives on the big day). My husband found the classes particularly useful as he had little understanding of the birthing process prior to the course and now feels not only confident of what is to come but is actually excited to take an active role on the big day! My husband and I attended hypnobirthing classes with Fleur and it was a truly worthwhile and rewarding experience. I gave birth a couple of weeks ago and using all the techniques I had learned, I was able to manage at home and attended hospital at full dilation! I couldn't have done it without these techniques! Through these classes, my fears of childbirth were alleviated and my husband learnt how to best support me. I highly recommend everyone to attend these classes, regardless of the outcome of your birth (vaginal/C section/Induction) - all these techniques will be very beneficial.

Fantastic experience. I highly recommend. 5 great sessions with a really experienced midwife Fleur, who has had 4 kids herself and is super knowledgeable and refreshingly positive. I enjoyed being taught about the process of birthing and how to frame up your mind to prepare your body for success.
It was in person with other couples so really interactive and the location, cake, tea, bean bags, baby goodie bag and hypnobirthing materials topped it off.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and in fact would suggest it should be compulsory for all women aiming but for a positive and well prepared birth.

What a wonderful experience. My partner and I only knew what we'd seen on TV or heard about from friends and so pregnancy, birth and beyond held quite a lot of negativity and fear of the unknown... We didn't know much, but we knew we didn't want to have the same happen to us. After this 5 week course, we not only now have a really realistic and informed viewpoint, but we have confidence, no anxiety about the lead up to and then the actual birth, we understand the physiological, hormonal and emotional changes we'll be going through, we have been given additional resources to help us make the decisions that will be right for us, we were introduced to the possibility that our birth can be calm and focused and empowering and doesn't have to be traumatic and scary (no matter what turns it may take). As well as this, we have also made some couple friends, who we are sure we'll stay in touch with for years to come. We highly recommend this course for expecting parents, and even midwives who want to understand how to better positively support their birthing Mums. It was fun, welcoming, there were lots of laughs, practical experience, no judgement and delicious cake :)

The structure of the course and all the information and resources shared is simply fantastic. It really sets you up for success no matter what ends up happening as... you never know what is waiting for you and complications can happen. I am so grateful to the people that recommended this course as it set great foundations that allowed us to make informed decissions throughout the whole pregnancy and birth of our beautiful daughter. Special mention and thanks go to Erin for her amaizing support, knowledge and resources shared, she provided exactly what I needed everytime I had to make very important informed decissions that ended up allowing my baby to be born healthy and naturally as we have prepared for.
We also did the breastfeeding course with Row which again was fantastic and provided us with the knowledge we needed to be able to enjoy, and love breastfeeding right from the start.
We were sooo lucky to have Row delivering our precious daughter which made everything easier and smoother!

We can’t thank Erin and Birthing Instincts enough for the fantastic learnings we took away from the Hypnobirthing course. The extensive information and passion they share has the ability to transform your pregnancy and birth to a positive experience regardless of the outcome on the day purely by giving you the tools to make your own choices for your labour and birth. We honestly put our physiological labour and positive birth experience down to this course. I remember feeling overwhelming relief after the first session of the course that birth doesn’t actually have to be a scary experience like we are so often led to believe. We also did the breastfeeding course with Row, which truly laid the foundations for a relatively smooth transition into breastfeeding. My wife and I took the Hypno Birthing course with Flur - we were both pleasantly surprised at how much we learnt about the birthday process.

I was amazed at how under-prepared I was to support my partner during her birth and how little I (and my partner) knew about the birth process.

The course helps a couple prepare for the big day, whilst helping change their views on the birth experience. My partner and I, walked into the course somewhat afraid of birth, but by then end, both we were excited for the special day - we removed a lot of fears (which had been programed into us by the movies, TV and the old horror birth story).

Birthing is one of life's most scared experiences, and this course really helps couples prepare for this incredible moment.

If your thinning about Hypno Birthing, I really recommend you do the course.

My husband and I did the hypnobirthing course with Erin and it was amazing. We didn't have enough knowledge about the birth in general since we are new parents plus we were feeling lost about our role during the whole process (labour, birth and after birth). After each session we started to feel more confident, secure, empowered, knowing our rights and most important know how women's body work.
Throughout the course, we have learnt lots of useful tools and techniques to put in practice during the labour and birth.
Erin is not just a midwife with a vast experience but a creative person, passionate about what she is teaching making of every session something special. She also is a great cook and will surprise you with incredible homemade breakfast to enjoy during the session.

When my wife asked if we could do hypno birthing to prepare us for the arrival of our little boy, I bit my lip and nodded in agreement. I had no idea what to expect, but figured if this will help her I am all for it.

The first day we met Row, and had our introduction to the course I could tell that this would be just as important for me as it was for my wife. Secretly I was full of anxiety about the birthing experience, and even more so about what it meant to be a father. This first introduction stirred up many emotions, but made me feel ready to ask questions and understand. Immediately the anxiety began to ease, as I was now in charge of my destiny, and not hiding away from the experience.

The course taught me so much about birth, and showed just how beautiful an experience it can be. In short movies lie, knowledge is power, and mental preparation is key. Row makes you feel empowered, and calm about what’s to come. I remember fondly walking out of the classroom each weekend feeling amazing, and feeling only excitement for the future. This experience brought me and my wife even closer, and brought such calm to both of us as we got closer to the birth.

On the day my wife went into labour, there was no panic, no screaming, just calm deep breathing and a husband that was cool calm and collected. Our experience did not follow our birth plan for several reasons outside our control, which you would ordinarily think would lead to disappointment. You’d be wrong. We were in control at every point of our journey, and each decision was met with calm reasoning, and awareness. This course gave me the knowledge and confidence to support my wife, and steer us through the difficult decisions we had to make. Without this course I couldn’t imagine how it would have been.

In short, this course was incredible for my wife, but unexpectedly, I would say crucial for me. It taught me more than I could have ever imagined, calmed my anxiety, empowered me to be a better husband and father, and opened my eyes in a way I can’t possibly describe. Row and her team, and the concepts and techniques taught in hypno birthing is what every couple need when embarking on this journey.

Our little boy is 8 months old now, and yet we still often look back at our hypno journey and talk about how incredible an experience it was. I recommend it to all!

After a traumatic birth with my first child, being introduced to hypnobirthing at 17weeks into my 2nd pregnancy was invaluable to my husband and i. Row’s awesome knowledge of child birth helped us understand how the body works naturally to deliver a baby and changed our thought process from a negative one to a really positive one. It was this positive approach that enabled me to actually look forward to labour so I could practice all the tips and tricks Row had taught us.

Our birth was the most empowering experience and made me feel at peace after my first traumatic birth. I think the fact that I was more knowledgeable of the process and had the correct expectation, it set me up for a better post-partum recovery.

For anyone considering Hypnobirthing, do it!! You will not regret it and I cannot recommend the Birthing Instincts team more.

My wife and I did Hypnobirthing classes with Erin in preparation for our first born. Honestly, it was the single most useful thing we did for the whole pregnancy. Not only were the hypnobirthing techniques very useful, the bit I found most powerful was the understanding and knowledge of the entire birthing process we gained from the classes which gave us the confidence we needed to have a great birth experience.
